Embellish a small room with this exquisite Breche d’Alep Marble Mantle from France, circa 1780. This kind of unique marble was extracted in Bouche-du-Rhone beginning in the early 18th century. Expressive and colorful, the marble has a largely yellow background that’s punctuated with large, rounded fragments of brown, gray, red and black. Not only is the color palette of this French marble beautiful, but no two pieces are the same. Since the antique mantle is slim, it would sit nicely in any narrow spaces. The style of the mantle shows remnants of the Rococo through feminine, freehand, asymmetrical motifs, but also seems to honor neoclassicism too with sharp, clean, classic lines.
