DOUBLE-HEADER AT PITTET ARCHITECTURALS, Part 1

Two jam-packed containers have arrived this week and we are up to our elbows setting up our fabulous new inventory. Too many new pieces for a single post! As usual, the new and the fabulous get quickly claimed, so don’t delay in visiting the showroom. Here is a peek at some of our great finds:
Mantels, Mantels, Mantels!

Masculine, yet elegant…
Equally suitable for a formal residence or hunting lodge, this extraordinary Antique Limestone mantel was sourced from a chateau near the Loire Valley. The generous front-piece is topped by 3 tiered cornice and features a simple shield design inscribed with the date 1620. The legs are massive, graceful, and well balanced. Overall: 77.5”H x 89”W x 47”+D. Firebox: 54.75”H x 64”W

Speaking of stately…
Also dating from the 1600’s, this extra wide limestone mantel has a patina to which only centuries of reverent use can attest. The generous width is likely a sign that this was a true working hearth; not only providing warmth, but enough space that would easily roast entire pieces of game. The front piece has an unexpected and subtle “bombé” projection. Délicieux!
Overall: 72”H x 92”W x 28+”D Firebox: 51”H x 69”W

Appetite whetted for something smaller?

Consider this little gem…
Diamonds can truly be a best friend, especially when found front and center on this lovely limestone creation. Very simple and very elegant! The shallow depth makes it extremely versatile. Overall measurements: 46.24”H x 64”W x 11.5” D Firebox: 38.75”H x 49”W x 10” D
Time for Dessert!
We were thrilled to find a new European source for unique reclaimed flooring, especially antique decorative tiles.

We are crazy for these fabulous hexagonal “optical illusion” ceramic tiles, as well as these beauties,
