A fantastic hand-carved marble mantel, circa 1670. This elegantly carved marble fireplace mantel was removed from a chateau in Crissey, in the Franche-Comté Region of Eastern France. The mantel is made of red marble from Burgundy, France and black marble from Belgium. Weight is estimated at 2,500 – 3,000 pounds. Firebox measures 31" x 37". Additional photos on dealers website.
