Here we have this collection of great old Wheat Thrashers from Greece.They formerly were drug behind an oxen in the fields. The weight and the stones would be used to lay down the crops so that they could be cut by field workers using a sickle. This type of thrasher has been used since the 12th century. All are hand made so the sizes vary but are in the range of 19" W - 33" W and 55" H - 77" H.
