TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

Balance in full is due prior to pick-up. Pittet Architecurals (“PA”) will make every effort to meet your requested pick-up date. However, PA reserves the right to alter pick-up date to ensure quality. All sales are final. However, PA may consider special return or exchange cases. If PA agrees to accept a return, in its sole discretion, a store credit will be issued. All returns of items palletted or crated when sold will incur a 25% restocking fee. Please verify the quantity needed carefully prior to ordering.

SPECIAL ORDERS

All special orders require a 50% deposit. The balance in full is due upon arrival of special-order products into the Port of Houston. Special orders may not be canceled from the fifth day after receipt of deposit. Cancellation fees may apply.

PICK-UPS & DELIVERY

Pick-ups and arrangement for delivery of product are the responsibility of the client. While PA may provide a courtesy quote for delivery, it is ultimately the responsibility of the client to finalize all details (i.e. pricing, delivery time, insurance, etc.) with the carrier. Liability for damage ceases once product has been signed and released to client or common carrier. PA does not assume responsibility for damage or shortage incurred in transit. A claim for any damages should be made to carrier’s claim department immediately. Please do not accept a shipment, which shows damage or shortage without a statement of irregularity on the transportation receipt. If customer gives the carrier a clear receipt for goods that have been damaged or lost in transit, client does so at their own risk and expense. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure ease of access for delivery and installation of all pieces. Please make sure that access has been verified.

PRODUCT INFO & INSTALLATION

Installation of product is the responsibility of the client. The use of installers experienced in using reclaimed product is recommended. Any requests for exchanges for excessive variation or obvious defects made within 14 days after receipt of the product. Building materials and flooring should be installed by pulling from all crates or boxes to insure optimal blending. It is incumbent upon the contractor and installer to perform a necessary mixing, sorting and trimming before the materials are installed. The purchaser or those acting on behalf of owner should perform applicable field measurements to ensure proper fit and installation before finalizing purchase. No expressed or implied warranty of suitability for any particular purpose or application is made with respect to any products. All natural and reclaimed materials are subject to possible flaws. No representations, warranties or assurances are given as to the quality of the goods supplied, nor their fitness for the intended purpose of use. The purchasers shall satisfy themselves that the goods and materials are of the required quality prior to acceptance.

REPAIRS & ALTERATIONS

All materials to be altered per client’s request must be paid for in full before any work is done. Alterations will be invoiced separately as alteration costs can vary. All materials altered and repaired by PA per client request must be approved and signed off by the client upon completion and before pick-up of goods. If client chooses to have PA alter or oversee alteration of materials (i.e. cut thickness or area of stone), some waste or breakage is possible. It is recommended that extra overage allowance be considered, since PA does not assume responsibility for loss or damage.

ANTIQUE & RECLAIMED MATERIALS

Due to the natural characteristics and the individualized nature of the materials, the products may have variation in grain, flow, size, shape, color, markings, blemishes, tonality, surface texture, pitting and smoothness, pattern, crazing and veining. Thickness and variations in facial dimensions are also inherent to all recycled, reclaimed, recovered, hand-made and natural architectural antique materials, and they are no indication of defective or unusable materials. It is the responsibility of the purchaser and those acting on behalf of the owner to review and approve all materials before the materials are picked up from PA.

RECLAIMED & AGED WOOD

The handling history of recycled, reclaimed, recovered or architectural antique wood is difficult to determine. Consequently, we are not able to assure you that the wood material you are purchasing will be free of insects and pests. Prior to use or installation of any wood materials we recommend that you have a licensed professional inspect, test and if necessary, treat the wood.

RECLAIMED TERRACOTTA & CEMENT TILE

Reclaimed antique terracotta and color cement tiles are hand-made and will vary in size, color, patina, thickness and texture.

SAMPLES & PHOTO REPRESENTATION

Samples are to be used only as a general indication as to the character of the goods and are not to be taken as a final reference. Due to variations, samples are not exact representations of our available lots. Some sample products may have been cleaned, sealed and/or waxed to show the look and feel of a finished product. The product to be provided WILL NOT be cleaned, sealed or waxed. While PA makes every effort to accurately represent the color and character of its products, variations as a result of photography are inevitable.
