Antique French Marble Mantel (MCH914)

Made during the reign of Louis XIV, this Italian cherry red grotto marble mantle is both bold and sophisticated. The medallion has a shell-styled motif and the upper legs hold a scroll-like design. Originates from France, circa 1780.
